Episode 30: The Captive - 11/28/67

A security guard is on patrol outside an embassy, but misses an intruder as he sneaks around outside with a flashlight.

He easily breaks in to the embassy through a window. Once inside, he knows exactly where to find the hidden safe, and takes out a paper with the combination and opens the safe. He is apparently unaware that he has tripped a security system within the safe, and moments later, four men in fancy dress arrive.

He pulls out a gun and fires on them, taking one down, but as he tries to make his way out, he is shot and falls to the ground. One of the men instructs another to get Dr. Serret. He goes through the intruder's wallet and sees from his license that he is Wesley J. Sanders.

Dr. Serret arrives and pronounces the man dead before going to check on the intruder. She determines that he has no pulse, but as he begins to move, she checks it again. She examines his chest and sees a hole where he was shot, but no blood. He tries to get up, but is held down while she uses her stethoscope to find a heartbeat. She removes it from her ears and asks, "Who are you? What are you?" The man next to her says he's a spy, and she says that may be, but he's also not a human being.

Episode 29: Labyrinth - 11/21/67

A doctor examines an unconscious man in an examining room, feeling his collar bone and lifting his eyelids. David Vincent is waiting outside the room and asks the doctor how the man is as the doctor exits the room. He says he has a mild concussion and may have a broken collar bone, but will know more when the X-rays are developed. He asks if the man is a relative, but Vincent says he found him on the road and may have been hit by a car, adding that he was the first doctor he could find.

The doctor's wife comes out of another room looking perturbed, saying he'd better come in there.

Vincent goes into the exam room and looks at the unconscious man and then leaves.

In the developing room, the doctor's wife points to two abnormal chest X-rays, saying it's the same on both. Vincent enters and asks what the doctor found, and he responds by joking that his friend seems to have no bone structure, and assumes something is wrong with the plates. Vincent doesn't think so, but the doctor says they'll make another set.

He goes to get a closer look at the X-rays while the doctor returns to the exam room. As he enters, the man sneaks up behind him, placing a lighted disc on the back of his neck, and the doctor goes down.

Vincent tells Mrs. Thorne that she doesn't know how important the X-rays are as they exit the room, and then see the injured man leaving the exam room. Mrs. Thorne tells him he shouldn't be out of bed and asks where her husband is. He tells her he's inside and he thinks he had a stroke. She runs into the room and the man attempts to get past Vincent, who tries to block him but is thrown aside. The man goes into the room to get his X-rays, but Vincent struggles with him. He grabs a scalpel and lunges at Vincent, who throws him up against a table, causing him to impale himself on the scalpel. He falls to the ground, glows red and vaporizes. Vincent removes the plates from the X-ray illuminator.

He observes the action on stage from the wings, noting a woman bowed in prayer. Episode 27: Summit Meeting: Part II - 11/7/67

A reporter describes how five heads of state are meeting at the mountain fortress of the European Allied Command, where the conference host, Premier Thor Halvorsen, will be demonstrating AR-5 that Halvorsen claims will reduce the dangerously high levels of radioactivity present on Earth. As he continues describing how participants began arriving the previous night, a French reporter walks into frame and makes a similar report about the afternoon demonstration in French.

A summit conference in a mountain stronghold, 18 miles from the Baltic Sea. There are two who do not share the high optimism of the other arrivals here: David Vincent and his ally and friend, Michael Tressider, who step off a helicopter and into a moment of history. They share the grim knowledge that this conference was initiated, and is being controlled by alien invaders.

Tressider is questioned by a reporter from the Continental Press who wants to know if his company has been contracted to manufacture AR-5 for the United States, but Tressider tells him he can't discuss it. He and Vincent arrive at a platform where other arrivals are standing, and it descends below the ground.

The guests step out of the platform lift and make their way to various places around a registration desk. David Vincent spots Ellie Markham and makes his way over to her, but she tells him they can't be seen together and instructs him to meet her in her room in a half hour.

The Continental Press reporter observes the interaction and surreptitiously steps behind a wall and whips out a communicator, saying that Vincent, Tressider, and Markham have made contact.
